This weekend, I filled up on every possible greasy, fatty, over-the-calorie-meter dishes that I could think of before my official start of healthy eating. I satisfied my mexican food cravings, stopped by Scoops, had my fill of butter popcorn at the Arclight theatre while watching Once, ate a bag of chedder and beer chips and had tuna melt and steak fries at Pipers with friends at 2am in the morning! Seriously, as I'm writing this entry, my extreme personality is getting a little bit frightning to me. Yikes!!! I basically had the most gluttonous weekend ever...
Anyhow, today I stopped by Barnes to checkout some cookbooks to get guidance on some healthy cooking recipes. I decided to start with Japanese food since I love Japanese food. Book of choice: WASHOKU by Elizabeth Ardoh.
Starting Tomorrow: 10 DAYS OF MASTER CLEANSE
http://mastercleansesecrets.com
ONE DAY RECIPE:
-60 oz. H20
-12 tbsp. organic Grade B syrup (found mine at Trader Joes)
-12 tbsp. fresh squeezed lemon or lime
-1/2 tsp. cayenne pepper
also drink either in the morning or at night (be sure to be near the bathroom after drinking):
-1 tsp. sea salt
-35 oz. H2O
Yes yes, I've heard all the conflicting views on this topic of Master Cleanse but my bases for going on this 10 day diet is b/c:
1. it takes extreme measures for me to adapt to change
2. I want to utilize the access time to catch up on work I need to do.
3. I'm serious about minimizing/simplifying my lifestyle which includes my eating, spending, relationship-ing, etc. b/c I realize what you eat, wear, how you live, the relationships you have is very much interconnected. Definitely, less is more in this case.
